Blog #1

Hello my name is Jaime Javier Contreras. This will be my first blog for Ms. Duffield. My subject will be on a video called "Yonkers". Now this video has drew some criticism for the explict nature. The song is by Tyler, The Creator which is decribed as an "interesting character." The song starts with him saying that he is a "walking paradox." The video is best summarized was a new twist on a genre that already has so many flavors. His group name is OFWGKTA which stands for Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. Also, great background information about this video is that Tyler doesn't believe in god. He keeps his believes strong in his music and this video is no exception. The video starts off with Tyler rapping and then moments later he is shown with a cockroach riding up his arm and then he proceeds to eat and throw up from it.

The next sequence is Tyler slowly losing his mind where his eyes turn pitch black and he is a "goblin" at that time. Tyler then, slowly starts taking off his shirt and you see a rope come down. The rope hangs as Tyler proceeds to grab a chair and stand on it to hang himself that is all of the video. What interests me is the paradox nature of the video everything contradicts itself. You should honestly listen for yourself to even understand what I mean.

For now this is the end of my first blog post.
